Just lucky I quess...
I work for a firm that owns a corporate box @ MSG.
A perk that I've been fortunate enough to be invited to a few times.
On Nov 3rd I went to see the NIN show - simply put...intense.
Death from Above 1979 opened - a good band, but better in a smaller venue.
Then Queens of the Stone Age - they rocked, even though others in the box were not that impressed.
NIN put on a charged shows - not enough of the new album (I think they only did 5 songs) but we got some of the oldies - Wish, Head Like a Hole, etc. Good visuals too - they dropped a thin off-white curtain in front of the stage and projected images for a few songs towards the end of the set.
Today is Saturday and we're still in Bklyn - no upstate with weekend as we're heading to the city tonight for a club/lounge evening...hanging with the vampires tonight.
I used to really like doing this more often, but with the house now, I'd rather be out of the city up in the woods doing whatever (and there is ALWAYS something to do when you own a house).
Take care now - and have a great weekend (so cheesy).
